Typographic Superheroes

This collection of Typographic Superheroes was created by Matthew Olin as a thesis project, but he did such a great job, they’ve been shared around the web. This is how he describes the project :

The most distinguishing factor of any font is its characters. Hidden beneath these characters, each typeface also has character—its own unique characteristics. However classified this information may seem, when used correctly, typefaces often speak to us more powerfully than the words that are written with them.

So in order to illustrate the unique character of each of these typefaces, he has expertly associated them with your favorite comic book characters. Click on each image below to enlarge and see the associated font :
