First of all, puppets of historical and biblical figures ARE NOT uncommon, since puppet shows are a great medium for adults to not only entertain but to educate children. And second, ANYTHING for children can be twisted around and made adult orriented, does that mean they should stop airing episodes of Seaseme Street because people are going to dub over the episodes and put them on you tube? And If you haven't noticed, there already are Jesus comic books. Thats the thing about not only Christians but almost any religion, they need to find new and inventive ways to connect to "todays" youth so to spread their word and raise up new followers to keep their order in power. Puppet shows are pretty outdate for kids, as are comic books, the new medium of choice is yu-gi-oh styled card games with religious themes and video games.
